Vivienne Hyndman Licensed Humanist Celebrant Scottish Naming Ceremony Scotland Fife Perthshire Perth Comrie Crieff Glasgow

A Naming ceremony is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate a new name!

This could either be a celebrating a new arrival to your family or maybe you’ve decided to change your name and want to celebrate with your loved ones? Whatever the reason for celebrating your name, when you choose to do this wrapped round a Humanist Ceremony, you know it is going to be relaxed, informal and in a really personal atmosphere.

First steps are always for me to meet with you, in person or virtually if that works best geography wise, get to know each other and start to discuss the kind of tone you want to set for the ceremony... where are you planning to have the ceremony, who will be involved, what do you want to say.

If this is a baby or child naming then you might be considering choosing ‘Guide Parents’ the non-religious equivalent of what you might be more used to knowing as ‘God Parents’. At the ceremony these will be the people who will make pledges to take on some form of responsibility and guidance during your child’s formative years. I’ll help to advise you and hopefully answer any questions you have around organising and staging your Naming. These are beautiful ceremonies, special, loving and fun!

“We had our twin girls naming ceremony, Vivienne helped us have a lovely day, she was kind and caring in everything she did and we can’t thank her enough for the support she gave us in a very sleepless time in our lives.

We all had a lovely stress free afternoon and that’s mostly due to Vivienne and the service she provided”
